Paper Christmas Trees

Found this idea first on Pinterest of course! Where most of my sparks and ideas come from this days! But that's what Pinterest is designed for. :)
I cut 2 different colored pieces of green card stock paper into a triangle and then cut it diagonally across creating strips.
I had my son line them up & glue them from longest to shortest with the triangle on top. We added a star and then used a Q-tip to dab Christmas lights all over our tree. We actually made some extra ones because they came out so cute! We're giving them to the grandmas as gifts. I will post later how I create a modge podge canvas with this design on it creating a keepsake :)

It feels good to be back!!

So I am back and back on track. New school year, New baby so New Routine!!
I have to balance Carter as a newborn while keeping Jax entertained and learning throughout the week. This is vital for everyone's well being. And sanity.
If I want to be ready for kids to come back to the daycare. I probably should see how it goes with the 2 I have! ;)
I couldn't have timed it better really. I am back feeling good after birth. Bonus we are on some sort of schedule with the baby and sleeping pretty good at night. School is starting and it's a perfect transition back to real life. Our new reality. A mom of 2.
Jax starts his 2 day a week program Tuesdays & Thursdays mornings. So I have devised a plan to work a preschool week into our Mondays, Wednesdays, & Fridays. I am excited!

Valentine's Day

I was super excited to get to work on our Valentines Day projects! Ive only been pinning ideas on pinterest.com since December! Lol
So needless to say we are ready!
Valentine’s Day falls on a Tuesday this year.  We have changed our schedule since my son, Jax has started preschool 2 days a week. So now I mainly plan projects Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays. We still do our normal day on Tuesdays & Thursdays, I just dont go crazy organizing a specific themed project on those days. This has been a HUGE break for me since I am pregnant it takes some of the load off

Parent's Valentines Project!

We started off the week before working on our Valentines for the parents. I found a super cute idea on pinterest and couldn’t wait to try it out with the kids.
I painted each of their hands red and placed their hands/fingers down on pink paper. I did each hand separately creating a heart shape between the two hands.

I cut out a small red heart and had the kids glue it in the center of the page. It came out soo cute. Later I typed and printed the words, “Children hold our hearts in the palm of their hands.”
